Maha Avatar Babaji is Nagaraj whom was the disciple of Sage Boganathar & Sage Agastya(Agathiar) .
He was born on 30 November 562BC at Parangi Pettai,Cuddalore,Tamil Nadu.
He is a child to a priest in Chidambaram from the lineage of Brahmins(Kerala).He was kidnapped to be slave.Later He served well the master & got free Himself.He joined the siddhas & yogis heading towards Himalaya.He reached there & become the disciple of Boganathar Siddhar.
He practiced 144 kriya yogas.He then initiated by Agastya Rishi & attained Savikalpa Samadhi state.Further he reached next stage of Samadhi known as Nirvikalpa Samadhi where He can take any form of nature ,from minute atom to thin air.
He was instructed by His Guru to obtain a consort to perform His mission.Thus,He went to His village & got married with His relative Nagaletchumi.She was His form of Shakti with Him in Himalayas.
He then iniated other disciples Lahiri Mahasaya & Yukteswar.The current disciple whom attained His initiation was Yogi Ramaiah.He recently attained samadhi a few years back...
